Greenpeace Foundation taps the volunteer energy of good people who have their act together well enough that they don’t need to ask you for a salary. And we don’t pay commissions. (There’s often nothing wrong with groups which do, but we think it can get out of hand).

Consider being a 10% Campaigner!
Not everyone can step away from the realities of life, dropping their other responsibilities to campaign for the earth.
But most of us can arrange our budget to live on 90% of our income, if we try. People who make a personal decision to contribute a fixed percentage of their income make it possible for valuable work to get done. Even if they’re job is – like most jobs – completely unrelated to campaigning for the earth and its life.
And learning to live on less is a good thing. It adds to your personal financial resilience, lowers your environmental impact as a consumer, and gives your life another dimension which you may find has meaning.
It’s probably not for everyone. But for some of us, it ‘s a great way to go.
Wills and Bequests are easy to set up
It’s another way to make a difference with your life.
Many people can’t afford to make a large donation our of their day-to-day budgets, but can make a huge difference by leaving Greenpeace Foundation, or one of its specific campaigns, named as a bequest in their will.
It’s surprisingly easy to include Greenpeace Foundation in your will or bequest. Simply include wording in the format of one of the following sample texts, including the USA tax I.D. number and (if desired) the Greenpeace Foundation campaign focus you wish to benefit.
examples:
“I direct that ___% of my assets are hereby bequeathed to the organization Greenpeace Foundation, U.S. tax ID number 99-0175939, to conduct its campaigns on behalf of wildlife conservation.”
“The remainder of my estate’s assets, after the forgoing specific distributions to family members, is bequeathed to Greenpeace Foundation, USA tax ID number 99-0175939, to be used for its programs to halt the human-caused extinction of species.”
“I bequeath the proceeds from the sale of my principle residence to Greenpeace Foundation, USA tax ID number 99-0175939, to further its programs”
“I bequeath the amount of $_______ to Greenpeace Foundation, USA tax ID number 99-0175939, to aid its whale-saving programs.”
That gets it done.
You just need to be clear about the portion of your estate which you desire to designate, and add the tax ID number so there is never any confusion about your intent.
